If your electricity goes off, we want to know as soon as possible so
we can restore service quickly. Please call 1-800-987-CEMC (2362) to
report an outage anytime. Follow instructions on the message.
If a power outage is widespread, our phones may be busy. Please be
patient and call again.
If you've seen
something that could have caused the outage, such as a tree falling
on a power line or a car striking a utility pole, let us know. This
information will save time and help us restore power more quickly.
If the outage is caused by a fallen power line, keep away from it
and make sure everyone else in the area does, too. Fallen power
lines are extremely dangerous.
Check your
neighborhood to see if the power is off in other homes. At night, if
the street lights are not on, it is probably an outage on Cumberland
Electric's system.
Sometimes the power
outage may be only in your home. Check your electrical panel for a
blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. If you need assistance,
please call us. It is the goal of CEMC to restore power as quickly
