CEMC Lineworkers Earn Top-Ten Finishes at 2026 Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo
Eight lineworkers from Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation participated in the 2026 Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo June 5-6, in Florence, AL. Lineworkers from across the Tennessee Valley competed in the two-day event, which was hosted by the Florence Alabama Electricity Department.
The rodeo includes events for apprentices, journeyman teams of three, individual linemen and senior (45+) individuals. The competition rewards excellence in safety, skill and knowledge in the field.
Representing CEMC in the apprentice events was Gallatin District First Period Apprentice Lineman Hunter Richards. Gallatin District Lineman Zack Case was CEMC’s competitor in the individual events.
CEMC had two teams competing in the rodeo’s team events. Gallatin District Lineman Peyton Martin, Gallatin District Lineman Austin White and Gallatin District Service Foreman Jake Perry made up one team, and Gallatin District Working Foreman Jared Hesson, Gallatin District Working Foreman Trevor Brown and Safety and Training Coordinator Todd Hesson made up the other.
CEMC’s lineworkers wrapped up the competition with top-ten finishes in eight events. The team consisting of Perry, White and Martin placed third in the C1 Conductor Tie event and placed fourth overall out of 35 teams. Hesson, Hesson and Brown’s team finished sixth overall.
